Pedagogy Project reveals future professions

Maria Vitória Ferreira Carvalho is 11 years old, is completing Elementary School I and spoke to everyone that would be a Nurse in the future. But all changed when she began to develop her project, with the help of her tutor, Teacher Jacqueline Cardoso, researching about Médecins Sans Frontières. She saw that not only do they save lives, as they do it for love, serving people who can not afford medical care. She presented the main problems addressed in the 70 countries where they operate: malnutrition, natural disasters and epidemics, such as tuberculosis, the world’s most contagious and deadly disease.

As a project finalization, Maria Vitória created a campaign to raise funds to send to Médecins Sans Frontières. She walked around Solar with a shoes box, seeking for contributions between students, teachers and the childrens parents.

She said today, presenting and defending her project: I want to be a doctor!
