Chess Championship

On the 18th of July, Solar organized a chess championship between students from High School. Operating for years in Solar, chess stimulates logical reasoning and concentration, improves decision making, train memory, work on patience and develop planning skills, among others skills.

It’s one of the complementary activities of students from 6^th, 7^th, 8^th and 9^th year, used as mental exercise and intellectual development.

The championship had 6 winners, 3 girls and 3 boys.  They all received a medal for their victory.

Here are the winners from the feminine competition:

1º place: Alessandra Lima (8º year)
2º place: Luane Domingos (8º year)
3º place: Ana Beatriz Martins (8º year)

Here are the winners from the masculine competition:

1º place: Yan Barreto (8º year)
2º place: Ryan da Silva (8º year)
3º place: Wesley Ferreira (9º year)
